Dr. V. Gabriel Garzo is passionate about helping couples become families. His expertise in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility combined with his warm nature ensures that each of his patients feels cared for and supported throughout their experience.
Dr. Garzo has been board certified in the subspecialty of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility since 1989. He is a Clinical Professor of Reproductive Medicine at the University of California at San Diego. Prior to joining the Center for Advanced Reproductive Care in Redondo Beach in 1991, now Reproductive Partners Fertility Center – San Diego, he was Infertility Specialist and Director of the In Vitro Fertilization Laboratory at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla. He has been an Adjunct Assistant Member of the Research Institute of Scripps Clinic and was an Instructor of Microsurgery at the Naval Hospital in San Diego. Dr. Garzo is currently a staff member of Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla. After he received his medical degree from the University of Chile, he served as a resident in General Surgery at the University of Manitoba and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Toronto General Hospital. He also completed two years of research in ovarian physiology at the prestigious Banting and Best Institute in Toronto and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of California at San Diego. Dr. Garzo is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.
