What Are the Treatments I Can Seek for Azoospermia?
Hormone Therapy
Nonexistent or low sperm count is often the cause of a hormonal disequilibrium. By restoring the requisite hormone levels, low sperm reserves are likely to be augmented. Hormone therapy works in cases of Hypogonadotrphic or hypogonadism.
Surgical Sperm Retrieval
When the repository of sperm in the semen is grossly adequate, surgical sperm retrieval is performed. Sperm retrieval is a surgical procedure that slides sperm out directly from the testicles; the technique is usually paired with a related fertility treatment, such as intracytoplasmic sperm injection. Intracytoplasmic sperm injection, in turn, helps an embryologist to pick the best sperm from the semen sample and inject it directly into an egg via in vitro fertilisation. Then, the resultant embryo is placed inside the uterus a few days later. Surgical sperm retrieval may be conducted in one of two ways. The first, is with a lightweight needle, and the second is through a biopsy.
